We have just finished the second edition of Street Food Fighters – an exceptional dinner that changes lives! And why? First of all, the Guests – the Judges try out 16 unique dishes that are prepared exclusively for this evening. And second, with their evaluations, they can change the lives of young chefs by sending them on a month-long internship (such opportunities are provided by the collaboration with Followe The Qualityto foreign, star-studded restaurants!
The second match, even more excitement!
After the first meeting with Street Food Fighters, we knew that every subsequent competition would be a BLAST! And we weren’t wrong at all. Marcin Popielarz, the so-called heart and brain of the whole SFF, set another incredible challenge before the teams. As always, each team had to prepare 8 dishes, totaling over 130 pieces; thanks to the inventive menu, we were able to travel through the flavors of the entire globe. And it was truly an exceptionally delicious journey!
Who cooked this time?
Two teams stood in the fight for the next stage: Pierniki od bezdomnego (you can guess where they cook every day?) and KFC (not to be confused with the popular fast food chain) – Kitchen Fight Club. Preparations for dinner started as early as the morning. We must admit that such a commotion in Hewelke’s kitchen usually starts several hours later 😀 Both teams were very focused, working according to a strictly defined plan to deliver the first plates on time at 7:00 PM, so when the machine started… no one could stop it anymore – the SFF dinner was officially underway!
The competition was really intense; the teams gave their best and put on a 120- % point performance. Under Marcin’s watchful eye, they prepared a truly exceptional dinner that they will certainly remember for a long time.
The winner takes it all!
There can only be one winner… and despite a very close fight, the judges chose KFC as the team that will advance to the next round of the SFF. Gentlemen, Pierniki – thank you very much, it was a pleasure to have you here! We hope to see you again at our Chef’s table!
